Corey M. Beaubien attended the Intellectual Property and Licensing Symposium at Wayne State University Law School, hosted by the Michigan Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society (LES). A panel of industry leaders from GM, Stryker, Navistar, Delphi, and Invest Detroit discussed their experiences and best practices in licensing intellectual property and other technologies.
Melinda D. Zatkoff has accepted a position on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School. The advisory board is comprised of lawyers, judges, and business persons, and its purpose is to provide advice and counsel on how to make the legal education provided to students in the school’s American and Dual Canadian and American juris doctor programs more meaningful and relevant.
Reising interns Anthony Gartrelle and Adam Rose recently completed their undergraduate coursework in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, respectively, at Kettering University. Both Anthony and Adam have taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and anticipate starting law school in the fall of 2017.
Reising recently welcomed a number of people to its administrative staff ranks. Both Emily Meerhaeghe and Rachel Girgenti will be handling the firm’s receptionist duties and will be working with the firm’s administrative assistants on various tasks. Emily and Rachel are both students at Macomb Community College. Marina DCosta is the firm’s new Foreign Filing Administrator. Marina comes to us with over 10 years of foreign filing experience.
